Thanks elpibe but i found a way using itunes;

helpful if anyone wants to do it themselves no downloads required.

Go into itunes and right click a song. go to options and tick start and end time, set a time you want the ringtone to play for, no longer than 30 seconds. click ok.

right click song and click - convert to AAC - go to the AAC version that was created and copy it to your documents. on the file you copy, rename the extension to m4r and then you should be able to drag it into your ringtones folder on itunes and then drag it to ringtones on your iphone.

job done.

I agree. I don't necessarily agree with how they go about doing things, but they're doing it because we're now living in a time where we put everything online, so poor security of some of these sites that would be picked up on by malicious companies are taken down by LulSec (let's face it they're not really doing any damage) so that when/if a REAL hacker (as in for profit) comes along they will be better prepared.

Yeah I did find that out, but I didn't want things syncing automatically. What I wanted was to basically import the songs from my Ipod touch onto the PC, PC to Itunes library>iPhone4...alot of the music on the ipod isn't on my PC...so wouldn't work too well.

what i'm doing is basically that, i found everything needs to be done from one library or it wipes it every time you do anything...

so i'm doing that atm. :| so much hassle tbh, why don't apple just let you drag n drop like everyone else.

I have nearly 1000 songs on my iPod Touch but I want these on my iPhone as well....I've tried using iPhone Browser to move songs across but these don't show up on the iPhone, space taken shows up under "other" instead of music and yes I am using the right files etc.
